THE BAND
The Highway Vagabonds, a brain child of Tony and Kat Ebster, is a Northern California based tribute band dedicated to the music of country superstar Miranda Lambert. The Highway Vagabonds is formed of an eclectic group of seasoned musicians. Ranging from 90s rockers to KISS tributes, this group of people come together to form a band that not only recreates the great songs of the amazing Miranda Lambert, but brings their years of entertaining and performance experience for all to enjoy.
Lead Vocals
Kat Ebster
Kat's mother says that Kat was raised to be a singer because she would play Janis Joplin's Pearl on repeat while Kat was in utero. Kat's vocals have been compared to Janis Joplin meets Susan Tedeschi with a hint of Stevie Nicks. She has been singing for over 20 years and has played with many Northern California bands such as KatTrick, the Tin Dears and the Merry Mac Band. While playing acoustic versions of Miranda Lambert songs in the Tin Dears, she realized that those songs would be a lot of fun to play with a full band so she and Tony decided to form the Highway Vagabonds. She is looking forward to a new chapter in her musical career playing in her first tribute band.
Guitar, Backup Vocals
Tony Ebster
Tony’s musical career began over thirty years ago when his mother bought him a $45 guitar. He learned by playing along with his Metallica and Def Leppard cassettes, and later joined his first band. He ended up playing bass guitar and that piqued his love of playing live. Tony would go on to play with a number of different groups and in a number of different genres, including punk, metal, rock and country. After many years of playing bass and guitar, Tony took up drums and has been alternating between the three ever since. He has played in the San Francisco Bay area and Sacramento areas for over thirty years, primarily in the rock and country genres. He has played a number of exciting venues, such as Red Hawk and Gold Country casinos, Goldfields, and the San Joaquin, Amador and Mariposa County Fairs.

Guitar, Backup Vocals
Dänge Dangerfield
Dange began playing guitar in the Chicago suburbs at age 13 or so, and all he wanted to do was play Kiss songs. Fast forward a year or so later and he is in a teenage punk rock band with John Pavitt, younger brother of Bruce and friend Kim Thayil, who would both soon move to Seattle and form Sub Pop Records and Soundgarden respectively. And yes, Dange did pick up a few guitar tricks from Kim before then.
Fast forward even further and Dange is living in So Cal and is the lead guitarist for Chevy Metal, a "dirt rock" power trio cover band with none other than the late Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters.
Fast forward one last time and Dange moves to Nor Cal and plays with everything from a blues rock band to writing original rock musicals, playing in a 90's cover band and learning to chicken pick.
Dange is a Gemini and a guitaraholic (and not really trying to quit).
Drums
Aidan Marr
As the son of a drummer, Aidan had sticks in his hands from the age of 3, banging on counters, chairs and anything else he could. Constantly immersed in music as a player and listener for the next 18 years, he has gained experience playing jazz, funk, rock, and fusion styles in numerous jazz ensembles, taking inspiration from his father- a local gigging drummer- and so many great drummers in the world. Currently studying for a degree in music performance, Aidan is part of many projects- musicals, big band and small combo jazz ensembles, and his first gigging band in Highway Vagabonds. He is very excited to play new music and gain new experiences!
